Hi, I'm Perla and here's the obligatory self-aggrandizing bio about me.
I am the Founder and CEO of GreatNonprofits.org, a really cool site where people can read and write "reviews" about nonprofits they know.
I am also the Co-Founder and Chairman of VoterWatch.org, a "CSPAN on steroids" where you can search for exactly what you are interested in and jump to that spot in the video.
Prior to these two sites, I spent a lot of time in print and was the founder and publisher of the Stanford Social Innovation Review, the leading journal on nonprofit management and philanthropy. While at the Review, I launched the successful www.ssireview.org Web site and blog.
I did a short stint in internet advocacy as the co-founder and and editor in chief of Grassroots.com, an advocacy Web site named by Forbes as "Best of the Web."
I frequently speak on nonprofits and philanthropy (and happy to).
I have a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
I really enjoy being on the advisory board of the Nonprofit Finance Fund San Francisco and on the board of GoodWill Industries San Francisco.
blogging, speaking, playing with my 3 year old.
